Extraction systems for PVC and aluminium

In recent years the market of the door and window frames has changed significantly. Besides the historic wooden frame, new solutions, often cheaper and of high energy efficiency, are available.

New materials, such as PVC and aluminium, are now among the most common materials used for the production of door and window frames.

These materials, but especially PVC, combine cheaper costs, high energy efficiency, durability and low maintenance costs. In addition to remarkably simple machining.
Single-head or dual-head mitre saws and automatic cutting centres are heavily used in machining processes.
These machines generally have some specific features: extraction outlets with a small diameter and a very long hose.

The level of danger of the dust to be extracted must also be considered with regards to the risks of explosion. In relation to this aspect, the particle size of the dust and the creation of possible electrostatic charges are important factors for the assessment, which will be carried out by expert technical personnel.

ATEX Directive
The ATEX Directives (94/9 and 99/92/EC), in force since 01 July 2003, are to be applied on new and existing systems to protect the workplace from the risk of explosion.
Gas or dust, which can cause an explosion, can be generated inside mills, feed mills, bakeries and the food industry. For this reason this risk must be prevented by using efficient and safe systems.

Case History

For several years, Alfarimini has designed and manufactures a new line of extraction units called HPF.
These units are distinct because of the special High Pressure fan they are fitted with, which can develop very high “head”, even on pipes with a small diameter.

Companies that use these extraction units for their mitre saws are truly very satisfied and have suggested to many counterparts to purchase the same machine.
